BACKGROUND

Precious Ones International Christian School was started in 2008 as a Day Care and kindergarten. In 2013 it adopted the ACE curriculum from pre-kindergarten through to 4th grade. Over the years, the school has grown from the previous 4th grade to the current 12th grade. Currently, the school has a student enrollment of 137 students and a staff team of 20 members.

The school is founded on Christian values with CHRIST as the head. It is located along Sentema -road, in Lugala, Kampala Uganda.

Back in 2013, the school adopted the ACE curriculum. ACE stands for Accelerated Christian Education. It was first designed and used in the United States in the year 1970 by Donald and Esther Howard. It is currently used in more than 6000 schools in 145 countries globally. It is estimated that more than 100,000 students have graduated from the ACE basedACE-based schools globally. In Africa, the rate of uptake and schools has been on the increase. In Uganda, there are currently more than 50 schools that have adopted the ACE curriculum.

Since its inception, the school has endeavoredendeavoured to ensure a continued engagement and collaboration between the school and the parent’sparents community. As a result, the school has enjoyed strong parental support and involvement in the day-to-day learning activities.

The school has built a committed, professional, and passionate staff who have understood and bought into the school vision. The school has transited from a negative net value to a positive balance sheet with annually audited books. With this strong foundation, the school is poised to grow further in the next strategic period.
